In the Guild Wars update of June 1 it was stated that "the bleeding duration of Feral Lunge was fixed" (Feral Lunge is a pet skill that causes bleeding for 3-21 seconds when the target is attacking). I didn't notice that it was broken before, but after that update it certainly was: Bleeding only ever lasted for 3 second, irrespective of your rank in Beast Mastery.
Fortunately with the update of today it really is fixed (already tested it myself). My ranger an her cat ("Tiger") salute you, ANet! We love nothing better than bleeding and poisoning our enemies for as long as possible
Now all that's left is finding a solid strategy to make sure that pet-based builds are taken seriously for PvP...
